Using TomTom navigation device but the tool or live services is not working properly? The problem can occur anytime in the device and may require expert’s assistance. But if you are unable to connect with the technician, then try performing the below steps to resolve the issue.

Fix TomTom Traffic or Live Services

The below directions are applicable for GO LIVE 2050, 1050, 1000 series and Via Live series and test after performing every step if LIVE series are active again:

  1. On your navigation tool, ensure that you have enabled ‘information sharing’ along with the valid ‘GPS signal’.
  2. Low battery might hamper the device from receiving the model’s services so make sure the tool is fully charged or connected to charger.
  3. Also, make sure you are in a region with the coverage of model’s services.
  4. Now, check whether the GPS tool is connected with the TomTom LIVE services.  For it, go to the Main Menu> Settings> Connections> Network.
    • For Mazda Navigation System NB1 LIVE, go to the Main Menu> Settings> Status & information> Version Information and Network.
    • Make sure, the status is ‘Connected’. If it is ‘Not Connected’ then check it for completing all the steps of troubleshooting and keep a note of connection status.
  5. Now, check the model series is activated on your GPS device or not by going to Main Menu> Services. Check that Traffic Service Subscription is activated and valid.
  6. Reset the tool to factory settings if you are unable to access the services.  For checking the same, go to the Settings> then Reset Factory Settings. Perform a soft reset on the device when prompts for choosing a language. Press and hold the On and Off button till the sound of drum is heard. Select the settings accordingly and wait for the GPS signal.
